Micro - Needling For Hair Growth

Hair loss, also known as alopecia or baldness, refers to a loss of hair from part of the head or body. Typically at least the head is involved. The severity of hair loss can vary from a small area to the entire body. Typically inflammation or scarring is not present. Hair loss in some people causes psychological distress.

Common types include male-pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, and a thinning of hair known as telogen effluvium. The cause of male-pattern hair loss is a combination of genetics and male hormones, the cause of alopecia areata is autoimmune, and the cause of telogen effluvium is typically a physically or psychologically stressful event.

Head Massage For Hair Growth

Step 1
Perform a scalp massage with wet or dry hair, based on personal preference, as long as hair is clean and free from hair products. Wash hair with shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Some people prefer doing a massage with conditioner in the hair; others prefer to wash, condition and rinse hair before beginning the massage. If working with wet hair, comb through gently to remove any tangles.

Step 2
Massage your scalp using the “checkmark” method. Spread your fingers, and then place your fingertips on the scalp. Avoid using fingernails to prevent breaking hair strands or damaging the scalp. Keeping finger tips on the scalp at all times, extend and contract the fingers two to three times; similar to the shape of a checkmark. Move fingers around the scalp, covering all areas. Do a standard massage method by spreading the fingers, and then placing the fingertips on the scalp. Use slow, gentle movements to move fingertips in a circular motion, alternating fingertips around different areas of the scalp.

Step 3
Add two to three drops of an essential oil such as rosemary, lavender, thyme or cedarwood to the finger tips before massaging the scalp. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, essential oils increase circulation and are commonly used to treat the scalps of alopecia patients. Essential oils also help in providing moisture to a dry scalp. Those with oily skin or oily scalps should check with their hairstylist about other products to use instead of essential oils. Some conditioners have mint or similar elements in them to provide a more relaxing or stimulating experience.

Step 4
Massage the scalp for at least three minutes or longer if preferred. Repeat as often as necessary. Do scalp massages anytime with the understanding that primary benefits of scalp massages occur when massages are performed once or twice daily.

Users can use a soft-bristled brush as a tool to massage the scalp. Brush a clean scalp with gentle, sweeping motions. To use an essential oil, spread three to four drops on the bristles of the brush before brushing the scalp.

BONUS: Inversion Therapy For Hair Growth

Introduction To Inversion Therapy For Hair Growth:
They say, “People are capable of doing things any time, they dream of.” That is also something similar to the process of inversion therapy which explains you can be capable enough to grow your hair at a faster rate compared to the normal process of hair growth by inverting your body and hanging with head down.

On an average our hair grows half an inch every month and there are about 100,000 hair strands in the head. However the process of hair growth can be increased by many means. One of the effective ways for hair growth comes as the Inversion therapy. It is known that by increasing the blood supply to head, hair growth can be stimulated. Supporters and believers of inversion therapy claim that one can grow about one inch of hair in a week if he/she is doing the therapy in an absolute way. This can be done fairly with the process of inversion therapy which involves you hanging with your head down and also the process includes an appropriate scalp massage with natural oil. Though the supporters of inversion therapy claim it to be beneficial in the growth of hair; science and research do not have enough proof to make it a prescribed therapy for hair growth.
